Postscale + DNScale

Domain email.
DNS setup handled.

Use a domain you manage with DNScale to send application email or forward a personal address into your existing inbox. Postscale prepares the settings. You approve the DNS changes.

For domains already hosted on DNScale. Separate accounts and plans apply.

Review before DNS changes

your-domain.example

  • Verify domain ownership
  • Configure SPF and DKIM
  • Set up the return path
  • Keep existing incoming mail

Postscale prepares → DNScale asks for approval → Postscale verifies DNS.

One domain. Two ways to use email.

Email for your application

Send receipts, sign-in links and notifications through the Postscale API or SMTP.

Your existing incoming-mail provider stays in place. Application setup does not change MX records.

Set up application email

An address on your own domain

Forward hello@your-domain.example to the verified inbox on your Postscale account.

Requires Starter or higher. SMTP sending is subject to account approval and limits. Forwarding uses an existing inbox; no hosted mailbox, IMAP or webmail is included.

Set up personal forwarding

Check the current plans and usage limits before starting. Existing customers keep their plan and sending rules.

From a domain to a tested setup.

  1. 01

    Choose your email

Pick application sending or personal forwarding and enter your domain. Sign in to Postscale and choose a plan if needed.

  2. 02

    Prepare the settings

Postscale creates the domain configuration, authentication records and, for personal setup, your forwarding address.

  3. 03

    Review and approve DNS

Sign in to DNScale, review the exact changes and approve them. Replacing existing MX needs an additional confirmation.

  4. 04

    Verify and test

Return to Postscale to check DNS. Send a real test message; personal setup also needs a forwarding and reply test in your mail client.

Keep control of existing mail.

DNScale preserves unrelated DNS records and existing DMARC, merges compatible SPF records, and flags conflicts. Application sending leaves MX unchanged. For personal receiving, prepare every address you need before moving MX: the change affects incoming mail for the whole domain.

Before you connect.

A few choices still matter, even when the DNS work is handled.

Does my domain need to be on DNScale?
Yes. Automatic setup requires an active primary zone hosted on DNScale and permission to edit it. If your DNS is elsewhere, Postscale also provides records for manual setup.
Do I need two accounts?
Yes. Sign in to each service when prompted. DNScale provides DNS hosting; Postscale provides email. Accounts, plans and billing remain separate.
What happens to my current email?
Application sending keeps your MX records. Personal receiving can move incoming mail to Postscale, so prepare all required addresses before approving an MX change. Existing mailbox contents are not migrated.
Can I forward to any inbox?
This setup uses the verified email address on your Postscale account. Use an inbox outside the domain you are configuring. It does not create a new mailbox.
Can I send immediately after approval?
DNS may need time to propagate. Postscale sending approval and volume limits still apply. Configure SMTP in a compatible client or use the API, then test delivery. DNS verification does not prove inbox receipt.
What if I leave or the link expires?
Open the saved setup again in Postscale and reconnect to DNScale for a fresh approval link. You can resume preparation and supported DNS retries without duplicating the setup.

Ready to connect your domain?

Personal forwarding requires Starter or higher and an existing verified inbox.
